Lac La Belle
Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Accordion, Banjo-ukelele

“Beyond their urban roots, this trio draws on the
Americana tradition — from traditional folk to
western swing and honky-tonk. Composed of three
of Detroit's most versatile and accomplished
musicians — vocalist Jennie Knaggs, guitar and
banjo player Nick Schillace and bassist Joel
Peterson — Lac La Belle seamlessly melds
instrumental traditionals with originals that run the
gamut from serene ballads to thigh-slapping, boot-
tapping numbers. “

I,Crime
Vocals, Guitar, Melodica, Keyboard

The melted male/female vocals of I, Crime create a
new brand of 'romantic rock' that could come only
from the rust belt paradise of Detroit, Michigan.
Through thoughtful lyrics and melodic songwriting,
I,Crime maintains a rock edge reminiscent of late
'70's L.A. Punk influences Wire and X, while sweet
boy/girl harmonies earn comparisons to the
smooth pyschedelica of The Raveonettes.
Following their 2006 EP release "Get the Knife", I,
Crime is now touring in support of their new 7 inch
single, “Dove Skin Gloves”, recorded by Grammy
nominated Collin Dupuis. Released on Woodbridge
Records, the pair of songs are winding, burning
ballads, with fuzzy but fierce guitars, steady
rhythms and bittersweet vocals that detail the thin
line between love and hate, devotion and
indifference.
